CarePlus ("we", "our", or "us") operates the CarePlus mobile application (the "App"). Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender, and a profile photo (optional).

Health and Medical Information

To facilitate consultations, we may collect health-related information you voluntarily provide, such as medical history, symptoms, prescriptions, and consultation notes shared between you and your doctor.

Location Data

With your permission, we collect your device's location to show you nearby doctors and healthcare providers. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings.

Camera and Microphone

We request access to your device's camera and microphone solely to enable video and audio consultations with healthcare providers. We do not record or store video call content.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the App, including pages visited, features used, and error reports, to improve performance and user experience.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features
  • Connect you with licensed healthcare providers
  • Process appointments and consultations
  • Send you appointment reminders and notifications
  • Improve, personalise, and expand our services
  • Monitor and analyse usage and trends to improve your experience
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and fraud
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect or process your data on our behalf:

Agora

We use Agora's real-time communication SDK to power video and audio consultations. Agora may process audio and video streams during active calls. For more information, see Agora's Privacy Policy.

Sentry

We use Sentry for error monitoring and crash reporting. Sentry may collect device information and anonymised stack traces when the App encounters an error. For more information, see Sentry's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Healthcare providers — doctors and specialists you consult through the App
  • Service providers — third-party vendors who assist us in operating the App (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing)
  • Legal authorities — when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others
  • Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@careplusng.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
